Turkey Wattflyers Over Oklahoma Fly-in 2008 Our September Fly-In (coined Wattflyers Over Oklahoma Fly-in, or WOOF) was such a huge success, everyone asked when were were going to do it again. We didn't want to wait 12 months to have another fly-in, so...
By popular demand, we have scheduled a Thanksgiving WOOF event -- we're calling this one "Turkey WOOF 2008".
The main event is the day after Thanksgiving -- Friday, November 28, 2008, with a secondary event (for those who can't make it, due to the holidays) on Sunday, November 23, 2008. The flying field is located on the south-east corner of 41st and Garnett, just across the street from Vatterott College.
How to find the "Unclub" Flying Field -- This is a video of how to get to the Unclub flying field, from the McDonald's / QT parking lot, at the intersection of 41st and Garnett.
As usual, these will be all-day events, including: Fun-fly. Foamy streamer combat -- feel free to bring one and join the fun! If you don't have one, you can build it on-site, and fight the same day. And if we have anyone brave enough to try it: Pylon races Balloon pop challenge Limbo challenge
Anyone that can attend is invited -- you are welcome to bring friends and family. There are no fees and no requirements other than to follow normal safety guidelines. So, let the crazy people go shopping that day after Thanksgiving -- come fly with us instead! |
